Alumni Fall 2013 race updates

- Ben Davis, a freshman at Union College, located in Schenectady, NY, spent the fall stroking the Union varsity men's 8+.  They started the season at the Head of the Housatonic with a 6th place finish out of 13 boats in the Collegiate Men's 8+ race.  Ben and his teammates finished the fall season by competing at the Head of the Schuylkill finishing 9th out of 25 crews in a very tough field in the College & Open Club 8+ race.  Good luck in the spring Ben!

- Esther Coleman, coxing for the University of Massachusetts at Amherst men's team, competed this fall as a freshman as well.  Racing at the Head of the Fish in Saratoga Springs, NY, Esther coxed the Minutemen's Novice C boat finishing as the 2nd best C entry in the race and beating 2 A boat entries as well.  Nice job Esther!

- Greg Sargeant, also rows for the Minutemen at UMass Amherst as a freshman.  Greg's novice B boat at the Head of the Fish finished in 28th in the College Novice Men's 8+ event, finishing as the 5th best B boat entry in a tough field.  Good work Greg, keep it up!

- Olivia Rose, a freshman at the University of Maryland, competed with the novice women's team this fall in College Park.  Racing at the prestigious Head of the Schuylkill this season, Olivia had a 30th place finish in a deep Women's College Freshman/Novice 8+ event.  Great job Olivia!

- Eddie Dougherty, a freshman at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, started his fall season off on a good note by coxing the winning boat in the Men's Novice 4+ race at the Textile River Regatta.  Next he went on to cox the novice 4+ again to another victory over Endicott at the New Hampshire Championships in Pembroke, NH.  Congrats Eddie, nice job!


- Alex Montemurro, also a freshman at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, rowed in the Men's Club 8+ for the Riverhawks that finished 15th at the Textile River Regatta.  Then at the New Hampshire Championships, Alex rowed in the B entry for the Men's Open 8+ finishing 3rd right behind Lowell's A entry in the event.  Keep up the good work Alex!
